SRINAGAR PROGRAMME

Programme for Srinagar 09 Nights / 10 days

Day 01 : Delhi – Srinagar

Meet upon arrival at Srinagar Airport and transfer to Deluxe Houseboats.
Late afternoon Shikara ride on Dal Lake visiting floating and Vegetable gardens ECT. Also witness walnut woodcarving and papier machie making demonstration.
Dinner and Overnight stay in Deluxe Houseboats.

Day 02 : Srinagar / Sonamarg

After breakfast leave for Sonamarg and on the  sightseeing of Mughal Gardens visiting Nishat Bagh (Abode of Pleasure) built by Asif Khan brother-in-law of Emperor Jehangir in 1632 AD. And Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan. All the gardens are situated on the banks of  Dal Lake with the Zaberwan Mountain in the background. The distance from Srinagar to the said gardens is about 12 and 15 kms respectively. Enroute visit carpet – weaving factory. Afternoon arrive Sonamarg and check in the hotel.

Day 03 : Sonamarg

Vehicle at disposal for sightseeing in Sonamarg.

Day 04 : Sonamarg / Srinagar

After breakfast sightseeing of Thajwas glacier and sledge riding on snow. Also drive up to the rainbow trout fish pond and the park. Late afternoon drive back to Srinagar.
The Sightseeing of Thajwas glacier and fish point in Sonamarg and Chandanwari valley, Atu Valley and Betaab valley in Pahalgam can be done by hiring a local taxi in the said places at the govt. Tariff rates.
NOTE : Private Vehicles are not allowed to the above areas, hence to visit the above places has to be done by hiring a Local Taxi.
Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel/ houseboat.

Day 05 : Srinagar / Pahalgam

Meet upon arrival and drive to Pahalgam (valley of shepherds). The distance of about 110 kms will be covered in about 3hrs. Enroute visiting Saffron fields, Awantipora ruins (1100 yrs old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma) and see the beautiful countryside on the way and lot of rice fields. Drive through pine forests. Arrive Pahalgam and transfer to hotel. After lunch have bridle walks and feed your cameras with the pictures of magnificent view of mountains.
The sightseeing of apple orchids and cricket bat factories is on the way from Srinagar and Pahalgam.
Dinner and overnight stay in hotel at Pahalgam.

Day 06 : Pahalgam/ Gulmarg

After breakfast drive to Gulmarg (Meadow of Flowers) 2730 Mts above sea level. The distance of 160 kms will be covered in about 4-1/2 kms. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18 holes.0ne can also have the view of Nanga Parbat if weather permits. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. One can also have a short trek up to Khilanmarg which can be covered in about 3hrs. Also enjoy sledge riding on snow or Gondola ride (Cable car) up to Khilanmarg to enjoy the fascinating view of Peerpanchal range and for pony ride.
Dinner & Overnight stay in Hotel at Gulmarg.

Day 07 : Gulmarg

Full day free for individual activities. One can enjoy horse ride, cable car ride and playing golf.
Dinner & Overnight stay in Hotel at Gulmarg.

Day 08 : Gulmarg /Srinagar

Drive back to Srinagar from Gulmarg and transfer to Hotel/ Houseboat.
Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel/ Houseboat.

Day 09 : Srinagar

After breakfast a tour to the town of Srinagar visiting Jamia Massjid , Shanketacharya Mandir, Chatti Pasha Gurudawara etc. and the local bazaar.
Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel/ Houseboat.

Day 10 : Srinagar/ Delhi

After breakfast transfer to airport catch flight to Delhi.
