Almost 8,000 pilgrims every year choose the Portuguese Way. It is one of the most popular routes on the Camino de Santiago, known for its easy access and beautiful landscapes.

The first references to this pilgrimage date back to the 12th century, after the independence of Portugal. The Way passes through the old Roman road, and was a unifying factor during centuries of political and social dispersion.

This pilgrimage route has its origin in Lisbon, the capital of our neighbouring country, and enters Galicia through the town of Tui, from where we begin this adventure. Just over 100km that will allow you to receive the Compostela (the official document that certifies the pilgrimage).

The Portuguese Way from Tui is an ideal option for those looking for an accessible route with a large number of facilities. In this case, you will stay in hotels/pensions at the end of each stage.

Day 2: Stage 1 “Tui – O Porriño” (18.1 Km).

Breakfast and start of the first stage of the pilgrimage. Dinner and accommodation in hotel or pension in the O Porriño area.

Day 3: Stage 2 “O Porriño – Redondela” (16.4 Km).

After breakfast, continuation of the pilgrimage. Dinner and accommodation in hotel or pension in the Redondela area.

Day 4: Stage 3 “Redondela – Pontevedra” (19.8 Km).

Breakfast and continuation of the pilgrimage. Aaccommodation in hotel or pension in Pontevedra.

Day 5: Stage 4 “Pontevedra – Caldas de Reis” (22.1 Km).

Breakfast and continuation of the pilgrimage. Dinner and accommodation in hotel or pension in the Caldas de Reis area.

Day 6: Stage 5 “Caldas de Reis – Padrón” (18.70 km).

After breakfast, continuation of the pilgrimage. Dinner and accommodation in hotel or pension in the Padrón area.

Day 7: Stage 6 “Padrón – Santiago de Compostela” (24.90 km)

After breakfast, continuation of the pilgrimage and final stage. A bit less than 25 km left to reach the goal: Santiago de Compostela. Accommodation in hotel in Santiago de Compostela.
